SEC Faculty: Amy Jane Longo

SECAmy Jane Longo is Regional Trial Counsel and Supervisor of the Trial Unit of the SEC’s Los Angeles Regional Office. Previously, Ms. Longo was Senior Trial Counsel in that office, serving as lead trial counsel for the SEC in federal district court and administrative proceedings.

Ms. Longo was was previously a partner at O’Melveny & Myers, LLP where her practice included extensive experience as litigation and/or discovery counsel in a variety of complex class actions, with a focus on securities and ERISA litigation. She also co-founded the firm’s electronic discovery practice and was one of the leaders of the group of attorneys dedicated to the electronic discovery needs of the firm’s clients and its litigators.

Ms. Longo is co-author of Electronic Discovery Practice Under the Federal Rules, published by Bloomberg BNA.

She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Columbia College and her J.D. from Columbia Law School.
